Create custom chat channels in WeKraft Teamspace to organize project discussions and coordinate feature implementations.
Where to Go & How to Go
Creating a New Channel
- Where to Go: Click on Teamspace in the sidebar.
- How to Go:
- If you have the required channel creation permissions, click the Create Channel button in the Channels sidebar.
- In the dialog, configure your new channel:
- Channel Type: Choose Community (for general group chat) or Announcement (for broadcast-only channels).
- Private Channel: If creating a Community channel, you can toggle Private Channel ON to restrict access. (Announcement channels cannot be made private).
- Add Members: If Private Channel is enabled, select the checkboxes next to the project members you want to add to this channel.
- Channel Name: Enter a short name. Names must contain only lowercase letters, numbers, spaces, or hyphens, and can be up to 32 characters long. (Any spaces will automatically be replaced with hyphens).
- Description: Enter an optional description (up to 120 characters) explaining what the channel is for.
- Click Create Channel.
- The channel will be created instantly and will appear in the channel list for all authorized team members in real-time.
